Reporting a bug

If something broke, the most useful thing you can send is a log bundle:

  1. Open Klyr → Settings.
  2. Scroll to Local error logs.
  3. Click Bundle for support — Klyr writes klyr-logs-YYYY-MM-DD.txt to your Downloads folder.
  4. Attach that file to your email along with what you were doing when it broke.

The bundle contains only opaque tags (scanner=largeFile, phase=enumerate) — no file paths or contents. You can read it before sending.

Common questions

How do I uninstall Klyr?

If you got it from the Mac App Store, drag /Applications/Klyr.app to the Trash. To also clear Klyr's own files, before trashing the app run Settings ▸ Reset to defaults and Clear logs; the app's ~/Library/Application Support/Klyr directory can then be removed too.

If you got the Pro DMG, also remove /Applications/Klyr Pro.app.

Where do I get my Pro license back?

Email us with the order ID from your purchase confirmation; we'll re-issue. The license token is signed Ed25519 — losing the file is fine, the system can mint a fresh one for you.

Can I request a refund?

Yes — within 14 days of a direct purchase, no questions asked. Email us with the order ID. See the Terms of Use for details.

Klyr deleted something it shouldn't have. What now?

Open Trash — Klyr always moves to Trash by default; nothing is force-removed. Right-click → Put Back restores the original location. If you also emptied the Trash, your last hope is Time Machine.

Tell us what happened: which scanner, which file, what safety verdict Klyr showed. We treat false-positive reports as P0 bugs.

Does Klyr work on Intel Macs?

Yes — Klyr is a universal binary. macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later.

What's the difference between Klyr (Free) and Klyr Pro?

Lite includes large-file analysis, verified duplicates, developer-artifact review, disk usage, and the shared safety pipeline. Pro adds application support-file review, Xcode, Homebrew, system-cache and APFS-snapshot views, startup-item controls, storage history, and optional AI triage with your own API key.
